Chapter 1
Firepaw awoke to the sound of Silvermuzzel groaning. It was the day after the news of the black cat. Mintpelt was applying some medicine to her muzzel where a whisker had been torn off. “If you would stop talking and moving I would have been done.” She said. “You sound crankier than stories I’ve heard about Yellowfang.” Foxpelt says “O, I’m way crankier than Yellowfang, just ask Jayfeather.” She said. “She yelled at me for talking to Bluekit when she was treating me.” Foxpelt whispers to Firepaw. Something was wrong with Mintpelt. She was never cranky. He saw some movement of gray fur outside the den. “Mintpelt, can I borrow Firepaw?” Jayfeather says as he walks in. “Yes.” Mintpelt said. Firepaw followed. Jayfeather out of camp to a bush where Sandpaw and Lionblaze where waiting. “You two are the black cat’s kin.” Lionblaze says.
Chapter 2
“What?” Firepaw and Sandpaw say. “Yes. She is our . . . sister.” Jayfeather says. “Come we must meet her, but stay out of sight, she only meant for us to come.” Lionblaze said. They follow them until they get to a large heap of leaves. Jayfeather clears them away and a tunnel opens up. “Stay here” Lionblaze says. The two elders go into the tunnel. “Lionblaze, Jayfeather, please you got to help me.” They here the black cat say. “Why should we help you?” Jayfeather says. “Because we are kin.” She says “It doesn’t matter. You killed Ashfur and hurt two of out warriors.” Lionblaze said. Then it was the black cat that killed Ashfur? “You two apprentices, I can smell you come into the tunnel.” The she-cat says. They walk into the tunnel. “This is Firepaw and Sandpaw. Descendants of Squirrelflight.” Lionblaze says. “Squirrelflight! Remember what she did to us? The clan shouldn’t trust her.” She said “Hollyleaf, she was a good mother even though she lied. The clan forgave her.” Jayfeather meowed. Hollyleaf is the Black cat?!?!?!
Chapter 3
“ThunderClan should have never forgiven her! What happened to Leafpool? Did she eat the deathberries or go on suffering?” Hollyleaf asked. “She died a little after Cinderheart died.” Jayfeather said “The clan forgave her too.” “Cinderheart is dead?” The green eyed she-cat asked. “Yes. She died from greencough when she was an elder.” Lionblaze said. Why did Hollyleaf suddenly feel sad? What was wrong with her? “And you couldn’t save her!” she yelled at Jayfeather. “I tried and so did Mintpelt but there was no catmint and tansy.” Jayfeather said. “Graystripe died too. Of course he was much older though. Suddenly Firepaw heard movement in the tunnel. “Hollyleaf?” he hears a she-cat say.
Chapter 4 Kits?
Two cats walked out into the entrance of the tunnel. “Yes Tawny and Soil?” Hollyleaf says to a tortishell she-cat and a Black she-cat. “We heard you talking. Who are these cats?” Tawny asks. “Meet you kin.” She replies. “What!” Lionblaze yells before Firepaw can say it. “Yes. These are my kits. The tortishell she-cat is Tawny and the black she-cat is Soil.” She says “Soil? That’s sounds like Sol!” Jayfeather meows. “These are Sol’s kits too. It wasn’t supposed to happen but I want to the abandoned nest and we lived in the tunnels together for 3 moons until he left.” Hollyleaf meowed. “Why do I suddenly smell blood?” Jayfeather asked. Hollyleaf looked at her kits. “Soil! Why are your paws stained with blood?”Hollyleaf demanded. “Because he attacked two ThunderClan cats.” Tawny yells. Then Soil attacked the cats not Hollyleaf? “Soil!” Holly growls. “I thought if I killed one of them we would eat well. I was going for the one they called Foxpelt.” Soil meows while licking his lips. “I would never eat one of my former clanmates!” Hollyleaf says “This is why I need help. Soil thinks she can kill cats to eat!”
Chapter 5
“Vanish him then! What if he kills you or Tawny?” Lionblaze yelled. Hollyleaf looked at Lionblaze and then to Soil several times. “Soil, leave now. If you are still here by Moonhigh I will take care of you.” Hollyleaf says. Soil stares at his mother. Then runs out of the tunnel. “lease help me get back in the clan. I killed Ashfur to keep the secret!” Hollyleaf yelled. “But you told every cat at the gathering our secret!” Jayfeather hisses. “The truth had to come out! It was the only way we couldn’t live a lie!” Hollyleaf says. “It only would have been worse it he told everybody.” “I was considering the same thing.” Lionblaze admitted. “What? Lionblaze why?” Jayfeather said. Lionblaze didn’t say anything. “lease! Let me into the clan!” Hollyleaf screams. “That’s not our decision to make.” Jayfeather says. “It’s Bramblestar‘s.” The cats walked to the camp. Jayfeather, Lionblaze, Hollyleaf, and Tawny walked to Bramblestar’s den. Cats stared at Hollyleaf. “Hollyleaf?” Squirrelflight says as she walks out of the den.
Chapter 6
“Yes, it’s her.” Firepaw hears Sandkit say. He walks to Mintpelt‘s den. “Firepaw! Get off that leg! It needs to rest!” Mintpelt yells at him. He lies down in his nest. Silvermuzzel is asleep and Foxpelt is eating a vole. Foxpelt finishes his part and asks “Hay Firepaw. Do you want the rest of the vole?” “Sure!” Firepaw replies. Bramblestar calls all cats to Highledge. The four cats stumble out of the den. “StarClan has given us a miracle. Hollyleaf has come home! She has also brought her kit, Tawny.” Bramblestar began. “Hollyleaf you shall now be an elder of ThunderClan.” The clan shouted Hollyleaf, Hollyleaf! Bramblestar waved his tail. “And Tawny shall know be known as Tawnypool. She shall be a warrior of ThunderClan.” The clan yelled Tawnypool, Tawnypool! Hollyleaf walked to the elders den looking at Leafpool and Squirrelflight. Tawnypool walked to the warriors den to meet her clanmates. Firepaw walked back to the den to finish his vole. He finishes it and falls asleep.
Chapter 7
“Firepaw.” Firepaw hears Mintpelt says. ‘What now?’ he thinks “You may return to training. It’s getting pretty cramped in her and you are losing out on vital learning” Mintpelt says. “Okay!” he says as he realizes the cast is off his leg. “But be careful! I don’t want you to be in this den again!” she yells as he’s leaving. He walks to Bramblestar’s den. “Bramblestar?” he says. “Come in Firepaw.” The leader says. “Mintpelt said that I can return to training!” he says “Good. You missed as assessment. You will have one tomorrow. Icestream, Sandpaw, Ravenpaw, and Sunfur are at the clearing for some training. Go join them.” Bramblestar says. Firepaw dips his head and runs off. He gets to the clearing and explains that he can return to training. They train all day and they return to camp. Firepaw, Sandpaw, and Ravenpaw share a large thrush. Firepaw finishes his part and starts cleaning him until he hears faint yelling in the elders den. He decided to change the moss so he can see what’s it’s all about. He walks in with a pad of moss. “As far as I’m concerned I have no parents!” Hollyleaf says. “Just let it go!” Lionblaze meows. “No! They lied!” Hollyleaf yells “lease Hollyleaf! Bramblestar hated Squirrelflight for moons! And I had to suffer almost getting exiled!” Leafpool says. Hollyleaf says no more and Firepaw finishes his work.
Chapter 8 Gathering Part 1
“All cats old enough to catch their own prey join here beneath highledge for a clan meeting.” Bramblestar says. It was the next day after Firepaw cleaned the bedding. “As you all know the gathering is tonight. The cats going are, Icestream, Mintpelt, Bumblebee, Roseflower, Longlegs, Frostpebble, Moonfur, Yellowstripe, Morningclaw, Jayfeather, Leafpool, Squirrelflight, Lionblaze, Hollyleaf, Firepaw, Ravenpaw, and Sandpaw.” He says and walks to the camp entrance. The gathering party follows. They walk to the Island . “Feels like old times doesn’t it?” Lionblaze says “Ya.” Jayfeather says. “I guess.” Hollyleaf meows. They get to the Island and cross the bridge. Bramblestar and Icestream take their places. Cats stare at Hollyleaf trying to figure out who she is. The gathering starts
Chapter 9 Gathering Part 2
“ThunderClan shall speak first.” Bramblestar says. “We have two new apprentices, Sandpaw and Firepaw. We also have two new warriors, Yellowstripe and Morningclaw.” “Sandpaw! Firepaw! Yellowstripe! Morningclaw!” Cats yell. Bramblestar waves his tail for silence. “Hollyleaf has come home. She also brought her kit, Tawnypool.” All cats look at Hollyleaf. “ShadowClan shall speak now.” Dawncloud says. “I have made my tip to Moonpool and now Dawnstar.” She says. “We have special visitors.” She says. Her voice sounded evil that was unlike the things he had heard about her. A tortishell tom walks out threw the bushes followed by a black she-cat. The cats gasp. “Sol!” Lionblaze, Jayfeather, and Hollyleaf yell.
Chapter 10 Darkness Creeps
"Are you mouse-brain!?" Lionblaze yells. "Remember what he did to your clan all those moons ago?" jayfeather meows. "SILENCE!" Dawnstar yowls. "Sol will bring great power to Shadowclan!" "Look! the clouds are covering the moon! Starclan does not approve!" Icestream yells. "Shadowclan doesn't need StarClan!" Dawnstar yells. "Dawnstar!" Tawnypelt yells. "Listen to yourself! You going mad!" "If you believe in starclan your mad! starclan is a group of dead cats! what can they do? We are the living cats! from this point forward Shadowclan shall attend no more gatherings!"Dawnstar says. She flicks her tail for her clan to follow. The only shadowclan cats left are Tawnypelt, Tigerpelt, and Flameclaw. "I suppose this gathering is over." Crowstar meows and walks toward the exit and his clan follows. Mistystar waves her tail for her clan to follow, "Ok, come on." bramblestar says to tawnypelt and her kits.

Chapter 11
It's the morning after the gathering. Firepaw is already up waiting for his assessment.Bramblestar pads over to him. "I'm sorry Firepaw. Due to recent events the assessment has been postponed. you can go on a hunting patrol if you like though. Icestream is leading one with Sunfall, Sandpaw and Ravenpaw though." he said. "Ok!" he races to them "Ready?" icestream asks. "Yes!" he meowes mack.

It is a half moon later. Tigerpelt rushes into camp. "blood! on thunderclan territory its cat blood!" he shrieks. Bramblestar emerges out of his den. "Icestream! Lead a patrol with Tigerpelt, Ravenpaw, Firepaw, Sunfall, and Bumblebee!" he says. they pad to the spot. its near the Shadowclan border. "I found a trail!" Ravenpaw shouts. it leads to a hollow inside a tree. A small cat is inside. "Please don't hurt me!" she crys. "What your name?" Icestream asks. "Littlek-...er...i mean littlepaw." she says. "Sol nearly killed me. he said i was weak and to get off shadowclan terrotiry. i'm sorry i trespassed...I...I " "Its ok. can you walk?" icestream meowed. the apprentice nodded and got up. "Lets get you back to camp." the pad back to camp. Icestream shows Littlepaw the medicine cat den. "Another cat? it's already to crowed in here." Mintpelt complains. She was right. Even though Silvermuzzel and Foxpelt had gone back to their warrior duties it was still crowed. After too attacks on a Thunderclan patrol lead by Sol, Sandpaw, and Morningclaw had joined the den to be treated. Flameclaw also joined to help since he was a medicine cat. "Everyone who doesn't belong OUT!" Mintpelt yelled. Firepaw stummbled out of the den.

Chapter 12 Assessment
"Firepaw! Wake up!" Ravenpaw's voice called. "Our assessments are today!" it was a few days after littlepaw's arrival. Firepaw awoke and padded out of the den. "Ok. you won't see us but we will be watching you. First test in hunting. you have until sunhigh to catch as much prey and you can. we will start at the clearing." Bramblestar said. They reached the clearing. "All right...ready....set....GO!" Sunfall yelled. Firepaw bolted through the foest looking for prey. he found a vole and killed it. at sunhigh Bramblestar yelled,"Stop!" Firepaw turned around and bramblestar was waiting. "Collect your prey and bring it to the clearing." bramblestar meowed.
"Ok.now you two fight. claws sheathed. battle training assessment." he meowed. Firepaw didn't want to. Ravenpaw lunged first. she gently landed on his back raking at his back with her paws. Firepaw rolled her off. She attempted to scrape at his belly but firepaw was too fast and pretaned to slice her neck."Ok good!" he called. they padded back to camp.

Chapter 13 The New Warrior
"You shall know be known as Ravenwing."Bramblestar said. ravenwing had just had her warrior ceremony. "RAVENWING!RAVENWING!!"the clan rang. Ravenwing took her postiston. Littlepaw also sat by her. He had been made a official apprentice of Thunderclan. Firepaw walked to ravenwing. "Good-job." he meowed. Ravenwing nodded her thanks. he purred and walked off. "Firepaw!" a voice called. firepaw spun around and saw sandpaw padding toward him. "Up for some night hunting?"she meowed."Mintpelt gave me the all clear." "Sure!" firepaw replied.they reached the camp entrance. He waved his tail 'bye' to ravenwing and she nodded. they padded out of camp and into the moonlight.

Chapter 14 The Shadow
"I'll be over here!" Sandpaw called. They were hunting by the windclan border. Firepaw nodded and looked for prey. He looked up in a tree and saw a big, fat bird. "Ooo" he meowed.he climbed up in the tree. he leaped and caught it."Yes!" he meowed. He caught two mice also. he sat down and looked across the border. He looked at the moon. A dark figure went over it. a cloud? no shadow! The shadow flew toward him. Then another cat jumped in front of him and took the hit of the shadow. Firepaw started at the cat. It was Tawnypelt.
